The length of a mediation session or number of sessions cannot be accurately predicted and varies depending on a number of factors such as complexity of assets, whether there are children of the marriage, communication style of the couple, and need for outside experts. Additionally, the rates and number of hours of consultations with outside professionals cannot be accurately predicted. The calculator serves to give couples a approximate idea of the range of costs that may be involved in mediating their divorce.
