Youth & Family Programs
In all of CLUSTER’s Youth & Family Programs we work to improve the lives of children and families by providing academic support, enrichment, and youth development activities. Our goal is to assist youth so they can develop to their full potential and lead happy, healthy, and productive lives.
After-School Programs
CLUSTER Super School After-School Program
- Serves children 5-13 years (grades K-8)
- Provides after-school homework assistance and enrichment in a safe, supervised environment.
- Registered with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services for School Age Child Care.
- Department of Social Services Subsidy accepted
- Nationally accredited by the National Afterschool Association,
CLUSTER Advantage After-School Program
- Located at The Scholastic Academy / School 18
- Serves children ages 5-11
- An in-school after-school program which provides homework assistance and a wide range of enrichment activities for children who are currently enrolled in grades K-6 at the Scholastic Academy
- Registered with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services for School Age Child Care.
- Funded by a New York State Advantage Grant
Summer Day Camp
- Themed summer day camp located in Southwest Yonkers.
- Operates Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-3:00 pm, for six weeks during the summer.
- Enrollment begins in March
- Provides a variety of well supervised indoor and outdoor activities including:
- Sports
- Music/Movement
- Art
- Swimming –Recreational & Instructional
- Book Clubs & Reading and Writing activities
- Weekly field trips
- Transportation available within Southwest Yonkers
- Fee charged, limited scholarships available
- Department of Social Services Subsidy accepted
- Partnerships/Collaborations with local agencies enhance the camp’s enrichment activities
Study Buddies
- An intensive youth development program for Yonkers teens ages 14 through 17
- A limited number of applicants are accepted into this year-round program
- Life skills training is provided by professionals in the corporate, private, and academic sector.
- Participants are trained to act as mentors for younger children in CLUSTER’s after-school programs
- Participants co-facilitate enrichment activities in CLUSTER’s after-school programs and summer day camp.
- Additionally, participants are matched with adult mentors who coach them in employment readiness skills and encourage them to continue their education beyond high school.
- Participants receive a monthly incentive stipend.
- This program is supported with funding from the Westchester County Youth Bureau.
