The Restorative Justice Initiative – Westchester (More healing, Less harm) is sponsoring this Restorative Justice/Circle Keeper Training.

This training is scheduled for June 28-30 and July 12-13 (9-5 p.m.) at the Scarsdale Friends Meeting (outdoors).

Transportation from train station provided.

Welcome: bi-lingual candidates & those with history of court involvement

Topics:

· Using RJ to strengthen relationships among individuals & communities

· Differences between Restorative & Retributive Justice

· Anti-racism: how racism dehumanizes us all

· Trauma-informed RJ; understanding cycles of harm & triggers

· Putting RJ theory into practice: Courts, Communities, Schools

Apprenticeships: Participants who complete the 35-hour program will be eligible to be mentored and be Circle Keepers at sites around the County.
