Right now, we have the unique ability to offer the ONLY in-person Basic Mediation Training approved by the State for the past 7 months in our area, and likely the ONLY in-person Basic Mediation Training to be approved for the foreseeable future that offers the opportunity to continue on potentially to an apprenticeship with a CDRC.
For one week only, we can offer a safe, outdoor, socially-distanced, in-person Basic Mediation Training from September 21st-25th in Westchester, New York at Caramoor, https://www.caramoor.org/.
As you may know, Basic Mediation Trainings (BMT) usually costs $1600, but because of Covid-19, New York Peace Institute in collaboration with the Westchester Rockland Mediation Centers of CLUSTER, has been granted the opportunity to offer this BMT at the significantly reduced price of $250 to cover our costs. Please inquire about our limited scholarship opportunities if needed.
This in-person Basic Mediation Training is the only one being offered right now that will qualify you to become a certified mediator and to join a CDRC volunteer roster at New York Peace Institute or at CLUSTER.
The tented outdoor facilities provide an opportunity to be safe and socially distanced without compromising everything that makes New York Peace Institute’s BMT so special – group discussions, hands-on exercises, and role-plays, giving you a chance to practice new skills with support and feedback from experienced mediators and trainers. Most importantly, our training is effective and fun!
Because this is a unique opportunity, we have limited spots available and we require a firm commitment from you that you will attend for all 5 full days and that you will be able to get to Caramoor every day (once we have the complete list of attendees we can try to help connect folks to carpools).
